Kona is a district on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi in the State of Hawaii. In the current system of administration of Hawaiʻi County, the district of Kona is divided into North Kona and South Kona.

The term “Kona” is sometimes used inaccurately to refer to its largest town, Kailua-Kona. Other towns in Kona include Kealakekua, Keauhou, Holualoa, Hōnaunau and Honalo.

Ali`i Drive has a variety of restaurant’s with food from around the world. If you want to experience a Luau ask your visitor /concierge for reservation information. You might be able to find discount tickets from vendors on Ali`i Strip.

This side of the island has cactus, scorpions, wild donkeys and sandy beaches. The coast line is dotted with resorts on the “West Side”.

If sports fishing is in your sights, there are several charter company’s to choose from. Check for licenses, insurance and safety history before you choose for your safety.
