Brush Fire… Kau / South Point

This is a Civil Defense Message.

This is a Brush Fire message for Monday, July 10 at 2 PM. 

Hawaii Fire Department reports a brush fire in the area of Kama`oa Road in Ka`u District near South Point.  

Fire personnel are on scene and actively fighting the fire.

Fire and smoke may be visible.  

The Fire Department reports Kama`oa Road is closed in both direction until further notice.

Motorists in the area, please use South Point Road or other alternate routes.

There are no communities or structures reported threatened at this time.
